About Abominable Supply
Abominable Supply is a North American distribution and e-commerce startup built to bring innovative winter-sports and outdoor products to skiers, snowboarders, and outdoor enthusiasts across the U.S. and Canada. We partner with independent global brands to grow their presence through both wholesale and direct-to-consumer (Amazon and Shopify) channels, connecting high-quality, performance-oriented products with retailers and consumers who care about sustainability and design.
We’re currently preparing to launch our first major brand in North America — Drysure, a UK-based premium boot drying product used by top skiers, snowboarders, and athletes worldwide. This internship offers a chance to learn firsthand how a startup introduces a new international brand to the North American market.
About the Internship
This internship is designed as a learning experience for students or recent graduates seeking to gain exposure to real-world marketing strategy, social media management, and digital content creation. The intern will receive close mentorship and supervision from the company’s co-founders to align with educational and career development goals.
Interns will not replace any paid employees and will not be expected to perform duties that would otherwise be assigned to regular staff. The internship is unpaid and intended primarily for the intern’s educational benefit.
Learning Objectives
Through guided instruction and practical exercises, you will learn how to:
- Develop and refine a social media content strategy tailored to a brand launch in a niche market.
- Use creative tools such as Canva and Blaze AI to design engaging digital content.
- Understand the basics of influencer marketing and brand ambassadorship in the outdoor industry.
- Explore how to measure and interpret basic performance analytics for social media engagement.
- Observe and contribute to discussions about marketing positioning and audience growth strategies in e-commerce.
Structure and Supervision
- You will work directly with and receive feedback from Abominable Supply’s co-founders, who will provide weekly sessions to review goals, progress, and learning takeaways.
- Tasks and learning modules will be flexible and designed to align with your academic or career interests.
- You’ll have the opportunity to produce portfolio-quality work with guidance at every stage.
Who You Are
- A current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Familiar with social media platforms and creative tools.
- Curious, creative, and proactive, with an interest in winter sports or outdoor brands.
- Able to dedicate approximately 5-7 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
