The UAC Production Internship (UPI) supports UAC events with quality video production. UPI is a collaboration between the FMA and Communication Departments. We seek a candidate who enjoys doing challenging work and collaborating with a community of professionals. This a great chance to visit new places, get experience and learn new skills on the job.

JOB: Producer

  • Leads the UAC Production Internship (UPI) Team
  • Meets one-on-one with Faculty Advisors to discuss plans, hiring, and other issues related to UPI
  • Meets with potential Clients/Event Organizers to hear project proposals.
  • Communicates with Event Organizers (UAC Faculty or Staff) to discuss upcoming events, plans and issues.
  • Consults with and supervises UPI Team leaders in selection of semester projects and scheduling and assigning roles.
  • Oversees team leaders at all stages of production: pre-production, production, post-production.
  • Offers critiques and feedback on UPI final projects and PR materials.Holds weekly Leadership Meetings and bi-weekly Reporting Meetings (with Faculty mentors)
  • Reviews meeting reports of the UPI team leaders.
  • Writes weekly reports to Faculty mentors.
  • Works with UPI team leaders on recruiting and selecting new team members and leadership positions.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Be a Film and Media Arts or Communication Major
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be Willing to collaborate with other teams
  • Have the ability to delegate and lead
  • Plan to attend UAC through Fall 25 semester or later
