Project Description


The purpose of this project is to empower student athlete Name Image Likeness (NIL) with blockchain technologies. The applicable disciplines include product marketing, strategy, and blockchain innovation.

This project addresses the growing need for trust, transparency, and value creation in college athlete Name, Image Likeness (NIL) opportunities. Blockchain technologies such as NFTs, smart contracts, and digital identity tools are increasingly being explored as methods to protect athlete rights, manage royalties, and enhance fan engagement.

This project challenges students to build a university-facing blockchain NIL strategy that solves real athlete pain points: payment transparency, brand rights protection, and value creation. Students will evaluate blockchain technologies, design a scalable use case (e.g. NFT campaigns, smart contracts), and develop a promotional plan to pitch to athletic departments.
