Theatre: Musical Lead

Located in the beautiful Adirondacks, Point O’Pines Camp for Girls is looking for a Musical lead to join our creative theatre camp community.

The Musical Lead is responsible for the vocal and musical integrity of the camp’s performing arts program. This role focuses on teaching vocals, leading musical auditions, and ensuring that campers are musically prepared for all theatrical productions.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach singing techniques, harmony, and vocal performance skills to campers of all age groups.
• Lead the musical portion of auditions and assist in casting decisions to ensure a positive and inclusive experience.
• Conduct rehearsals for musicals, focusing on song mastery and musical expression.
• Partner with the Theatre Director and other staff to integrate music seamlessly into plays and productions.
• Build campers' confidence and self-expression through music while fostering a supportive environment.
• Participate in camp-wide events, evening activities, and assist in other camp areas as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in musical direction or vocal coaching, preferably with children.
• Strong teaching and communication skills with an enthusiasm for inspiring young performers.
