Regional Traffic Engineer Manager

ADOT’s TSM&O Division is responsible for operating, maintaining and optimizing the State’s transportation system in order to enhance the safety and mobility for all roadway users. Within this Division, the Operational Traffic and Safety Group has the responsibility to oversee all of the State’s traffic safety initiatives, traffic crash records, promote access management, and maintain mobility of all modes. The group is one of the few statewide functions with staff in every District. TSM&O’s involvement in traffic operations also touches every stage of development from planning to design to construction and ultimately to the operation and maintenance of the State Highway System.

 

This position (Regional Traffic Engineer Manager) will provide leadership to all functional areas of TSM&O Operational Traffic and Safety within the Northwest, Northcentral, and Northeast Districts. The successful candidate will be an independent leader that can manage and orchestrate traffic engineering and traffic maintenance functions throughout the Districts. This position will coordinate extensively with ADOT Districts, developers, and design teams to deliver projects that improve traffic operations on the State system.
