Maintenance Team Leader

Position Purpose:
 
The primary function of the Maintenance Team Leader position is to manage the maintenance activities in the Making and Finishing of all production, utilities and facilities related equipment. The individual will be responsible for leading the implementation of maintenance strategy for the facility. Elements of that strategy will address safety, planning/scheduling, staffing, preventative and corrective maintenance, storeroom, continuous improvement and training. Manages 20-25 people.
 
Let's talk about Responsibilities:
 
  • Work with Manager to assist in developing a plant maintenance strategy consistent with operational excellence initiatives
  • Oversee plant maintenance planning activities
  • Oversee and support a structured PM program utilizing SAP PM/EAM that drives the reduction of UPDT and unexpected equipment breakdowns.
  • Oversee and support autonomous maintenance process, which fosters operator engagement with the maintenance of the equipment
  • Create and manage equipment history and a major maintenance program
  • Manage maintenance team schedules and technician staffing levels
  • Manage team balance and address performance and accountability
  • Provide coaching and feedback session with direct reports
  • Calculate and Communicate maintenance related KPI´s defined by FP&R Standards.
  • Identify individual training needs and work to create development plans
  • Work closely with storeroom coordinator on parts management and in achieving the defined goals for this area.
  • Support partnerships between maintenance and operations, creating a customer/provider relationship
  • Support GMP, Calibration and EOHS plant initiatives
  • Work with Manager to assist in the development and management of the plant maintenance budget,
  • Assist Manager with the design and monitoring of an effective and economically justified preventive maintenance program.
  • Perform inspections (prior to and after) maintenance of machine, adjustment, replacement of parts, overhauls/rebuilds, etc., for critical equipment
  • Maintain and analyze equipment data and history records to optimize the maintenance program
  • Ensure maintainability of new installations through the creation of the proper maintenance strategies for them in the SAP PM/EAM system
  • Develop, Organize and Ensure execution of a predictive maintenance program i.e: vibration and oil analysis, and develop/implement iOT systems that support this strategy.
  • Identify chronic and costly equipment problems and provide cost effective solutions for them.
  • Provide technical advice to Production
  • Ensure proper operation and care of equipment
  • Establish a comprehensive lubrication program
  • Ensure employee safety from unsafe equipment conditions and equipment protection from environmental conditions
  • Ensure Maintenance Shop, Store Room and Utilities Areas are kept accordingly to the 5S & VWP Standard
 
What you need for this position:
 
  • BE/BS in Engineering
  • 3+ year’s production /operation experience.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Coaching and feedback skills required in a high performance work systems environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and manage in ambiguous situations.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel
 
It’s an advantage to have:
 
  • Maintenance supervision experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of SAP
  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Supervisory experience
