Operations Strategy Manager, Global Accounts

The Opportunity
Altus Analytics needs a business-minded, detail-focused relationship builder to be part of a new Global Accounts team. In this role, you will work in partnership with the Executive Vice President, Global Accounts to maintain and expand our biggest client accounts and assist with expansion in new markets. You will be based in our dynamic New York City office and will work closely with the Director of Global Accounts to build internal and external relationships, support sales and services operations and post-sales implementation, and execute customer success initiatives. You will hit the ground running, determining strategies on how we can better serve our clients and working to provide the best solutions for them.

You are detail-focused, with the ability to work quickly and accurately across a number of programs/formats (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.). Your current work experience involves consulting and strategy; you may current work in the consulting practice of a Big Four, or similar consulting firm.

The role:
  • Strategy Development & Execution:
  • Develop strategies for serving existing advisory and software product clients and target new clients with services provided on the Argus Enterprise, Taliance and Voyanta platforms.
  • Develop and deliver product solution presentations to prospective clients.
  • Prepare formal proposals, quotes and contracts in cooperation with the Director of Global Accounts and the finance/legal groups.
  • Hold business reviews to assess opportunities for sales.
  • Assist clients by mixing/matching various Altus products/services with client needs.
  • Monitor new client on-boarding and ensure coordination between our professional service and sales groups.
  • Nurture relationships with current accounts:
  • Proactively manage existing accounts and build relationships with key client personnel.
  • Proactively investigate and resolve issues raised by client personnel.
  • Arrange meetings with relevant internal and external stakeholders, as needed, to resolve issues and advance both client service and sales.
  • Adopt a global team approach:
  • Assist in achieving revenue targets and goals, as specified.
  • Support sales strategies for accounts within specified geographies to meet sales performance targets.
  • Enhance interaction between Altus’ service and sales teams to ensure that products and services purchased by clients are delivered in a manner that maximizes customer satisfaction.
  • Seek opportunities for business development:
  • Work closely with the Director of Global Accounts to develop appropriate responses to new leads, develop client presentation materials, arrange meetings, coordinate responses to RFPs, etc.
  • Follow up on all inbound leads, sales inquiries and marketing responses. 

Position Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a four-year college or university.
  • Past and/or current work experience as a consultant (i.e. the consulting practice of a Big Four accounting firm).
  • Soft skills – you are highly analytical and driven to solve problems. You have a high attention to detail and excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Experience – you have 3-5 years of experience working in a role that has provided you exposure to both financial analytics and consulting/software services customers. An understanding of the CRE industry is extremely beneficial. You have hands-on experience with:
  • PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Extensive experience preparing client presentations.
  • Solid Excel-based analytical experience and a strong degree of numerical accuracy. 
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting sales contracts and licensing agreements.
  • Independence - you have the ability to work proactively on your own or collaboratively as part of a global team. You are self-motivated, with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills - your oral, written and presentation skills are outstanding. You can easily build a positive, professional relationship with stakeholders at any level.
