Vibration and Balance Technician

Prime Machine, Inc. was created in 1979 to provide emergency Industrial Equipment Repair and New Component Fabrication Services to a wide range of Customers statewide and beyond. We currently provide Large and Small Machine Shop Services, Welding Fabrication, Millwright Field Services, Gearbox Repair, and State-of-the-Art Laser Inspection Services. Our major Customers are found in Mining, Power Generation, Aerospace & Defense, and other critical Industries.

The shop is AS9100 Rev.C; and ISO 9001;2008 certified.

Brief Description:
As a Balance and Vibration Technician you will be required to troubleshoot machinery problems using predictive maintenance technology: Ultra Sonic, Vibration, Infrared Thermography, and Oil Analysis. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 yrs. experience performing balancing and alignments.
The job may require travel thru out the Inter-mountain West and some travel could be out of the country

·        Perform precision rotating shaft alignments; field dynamic balancing of rotors and basic machine troubleshooting.
·        Collect and analyze machine test data from one or more of the PdM Technologies listed above.
·        Preparation of detailed machinery condition assessment reports and communicate with internal customers.
·        Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors and Reliability Engineers, assisting with machinery decisions, related to equipment's fitness for service, shop repair procedures and preventative maintenance procedures.
·        Perform and/or assist in the performance of online vibration monitoring system specification, installation, commissioning, and subsequent system monitoring and maintenance.
