Quality Systems Engineer

General Overview
Responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System and creating additional Quality systems as needed to support company goals and objectives. Analyzes trends and reports on Quality metrics. Acts as a member of the Global Quality support team to ensure compliance to Quality Management System and conformance to customer specified requirements.
 
Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinates with suppliers, managers, supervisors, employees, and customers to ensure commonality of purpose and direction regarding Quality.
  • Provides expertise and initiative in the development and application of sound Quality Management Systems at IntelliServ, Provo and its satellite facilities.
  • Contributes knowledge and experience to any manufacturing or engineering issues that may be improved upon at IntelliServ, its suppliers or its customers.
  • Participates in the design of parts and the machinery and tooling that creates parts to plan for cost-effective and high-quality production.
  • Performs supplier, product, process, and customer site audits to verify the appropriateness of quality systems, capabilities and actions to assure the utility and reliability of IntelliServ' s products.
  • Participates in creating and maintaining an appropriate quality culture at the Provo facility and abroad.
  • Supports safety culture by performing all duties in accordance with defined safety responsibilities and enforcing a safe work environment.
  • Examines parts and inspection records to identify issues that need to be resolved and/or improved upon.
  • Works with engineering and/or manufacturing to improve parts and processes.
  • Verifies that appropriate processes and procedures are being utilized.
  • Drives the collection and analysis of data to sustain manufacturing intelligence and continual process improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field and 5+ years of specialized training and related work experience in a Quality Control or engineering position or possess an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the well drilling industry is preferred
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing & Engineering principles

Benefits begin day 1. Pay range is $70K to $70K+ DOE
