Electrical Engineering Intern
Varex Imaging is looking for an awesome Electrical Engineering Intern to join our research and development department. We are creating and introducing a new series of electronics into our x-ray tube offerings in the marketplace. You will be joining a diverse R&D group that develops high end x-ray tube products for major and developing OEM partners and has a lot of fun doing it. If you can handle challenging product requirements and deadlines, work with a broad range of technical backgrounds, handle success and failure with an indomitable spirit, and work through the rigors of R&D work - we would love to talk to you! This is a full-time, paid internship - scheduled to last one year.
The Electrical Engineering Intern will have a strong desire to learn and engage in daily engineering activities. The Intern will be responsible for test plan design, execution of tests, documentation, verification and validation, and troubleshooting of tests within a regulated environment under the guidance of an experience engineer. In this position, the Intern will work with a multi-discipline team of electrical, firmware, and hardware engineers to ensure a high quality product.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong desire to learn
- Some experience in developing test procedure and tests.
- Troubleshooting skills for electronics and firmware
- Experienced with interfacing to analog and digital controls.
- Reading of schematics and layout.
- Familiar with LabView
- Familiar with Python
- Familiar with utilizing electronic lab equipment like DMM’s, Oscilloscopes, etc.
- Familiar with software tools
- Highly motivated and self-driven
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Be awesome!
Education:
- BS degree in applicable discipline or enrolled to acquire BS degree Electrical Engineer or related field
