Curriculum Analysis Paid Intern
PURPOSES
The Curriculum Analysis Internship is a project-based internship centered on improving the student experience in the coursework and curriculum. With over 40,000 students, BYU-Pathway Worldwide has a need to better understand how the curriculum can be improved to meet the demands of the growing student population. The Curriculum Analysis Intern plays a crucial role in helping the curriculum team identify areas of improvement, complete several research and analysis projects, collect and interpret student feedback and data, and more.
The internship is a four-month, paid position located in Salt Lake City with no benefits and no stipend for housing. The salary is $13.50 per hour. Hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (40 hours/week).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review the curriculum and coursework, look for areas of improvement, and provide feedback and analysis
- Evaluate instructor effectiveness
- Participate in BYU-Pathway student meetings to gather feedback and observe the student experience
- Research the academic preparedness of students starting the BYU-Pathway program
QUALIFICATIONS
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
- Desired Majors: Any may apply
- Proficient data gathering and analysis skills
- Curriculum development experience is preferred, but not required
- Excellent project organization and management skills
- Tech savvy and familiar with navigating learning management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Sound judgement in decision making
- Highly detail-oriented and mindful of others’ needs
- Excellent time management and highly proactive
- Strong ability to prioritize competing tasks, demands, and responsibilities
