Petroleum Production Engineer II

Job Summary
The Petroleum Production Engineer reviews existing wells within a designated area to identify artificial lift and workover candidates. Selects and designs artificial lift solutions or workover procedures. Prepares project cost estimates and economics to secure management approval. Executes projects and post-evaluates project success. Assists field operations personnel in the analysis and optimization of well productivity, including chemical treatment programs. Assists with documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
3-5 years of experience in oil and gas production engineering with experience in the design and execution of artificial lift and workovers. Knowledge of engineering principles. Knowledge of petroleum engineering principles. Knowledge of project management principles. Knowledge of oil and gas reserve estimation techniques. Knowledge in oil and gas economics. Knowledge of and ability to use a personal computer and related software to meet department needs. Software examples include Aries, Snap, ProdOP, Echometer TWM, Spotfire, Power BI, etc. Skilled in relating interpersonally. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to apply scientific principles to analyze and solve problems. Ability to gather, research, analyze data and prepare financial, statistical or analytical studies and reports using prescribed formats.

Education Level: Required: Bachelor , Disciplines: Required: Engineering
For placement of a candidate in the Engineer job series, the following criteria must be met. Possess a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering program based on the year that the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or possess a 4-year engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or -possess a 4-year engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or possess a 4-year degree in Physics, Chemistry or Math and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.
