Launch Engineer Summer Intern - Ogden, UT

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks involved in the construction, testing, and modification of components, materials, and equipment. Interacts with other engineering team members and outside suppliers to ensure adequate resources are available. Provides feedback / recommendations to leadership as appropriate.
• Assist in the creation of standardized work documents
• MSA Studies
• Part Measurements
• Compiling data from CMM reports
• Gauge R&R
• Part movement, discrete shippers, crate to ship fixtures/gages
• Create AS412 boards and affix modules / number stickers per instruction
• Design holding fixtures for CMM and other measurement devices
• Provide support to engineer as needed
• Maintain ERD
• Upload MOD sheets to L2L
• Push machines to JDE
• Assist in LAT Fixture Qualification Process
• Assist in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) document gathering & assembling
• Create Master Verification Parts (MVP) (i.e. nut height, e-check, etc.)
• Download data from Man-It and provide capability data on required characteristic
• Familiar with pertinent AS, ANA, & AOA procedures & know where to find them
• Interrupt drawing & take dimensions to bubbled print
• Navigate Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to look up eAPDS projects, part numbers, drawings, BOM, PPAP, etc.
• Transport gages and fixtures to required areas for testing and measurement purposes
• Write & submit dimensional requests for layouts and provide data back in whatever form/format is required.
• Write Action Orders (AO)
• Write P1 & P2 (SWI) for Gages
• Write Lot Acceptance Testing Requirements (LATR) & test setup instructions
• Write Material Review Instructions (MRI) & setup sorts
• Write Temporary Process Authorization (TPA)
• Track and deliver buyoff components to appropriate location (i.e. Machine build, OTC, production cell, etc.)
• Working on Engineering degree
• Problem solving skills / AS63 knowledge
• Product assembly and function knowledge
• Knowledge of technical drawings, dimensional tolerancing (GD&T) and methods of metrology and gaging
• Proficient in SolidWorks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office package
• Knowledge of SharePoint
• Knowledge of Minitab
• Knowledge of product testing
• General knowledge of APDS
• General knowledge of APS
• General knowledge of PLM
• Cross functional communication skills
• Time Management – Prioritization – Organizational Skills
• Hazmat transportation certified
• Forklift certified
Should be currently attending school for technical degree.
