Logistics Loss Prevention Program Manager (Intern)

The Logistics Team is seeking an enthusiastic, customer obsessed Program Manager Intern to provide support for cargo transportation efforts within Amazon Air and/or execute risk-based security standards for Amazon’s Last Mile delivery programs. This will encompass new initiatives for the transportation supply chain involving Amazon owned and third party delivery methods. The incumbent will be responsible for enforcing risk-based security standards by ensuring compliance with corporate policies, federal regulations, and standardized processes.

Our goal with the loss prevention program manager intern role is to have develop leadership and management skills in high volume environment. We hope that the interns develop a strong understanding and skill set in time management, critical and strategic thinking, and organization and planning through the management and enforcement of security standards in our fulfillment enters across the nation.

Key Responsibilities
· Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to identify existing and future technology to assist in the elimination of concessions within Amazon’s transportation efforts/programs.
· Assist in creating standard work and SOP’s through both behavioral and technology loss prevention solutions.
· Utilize best practices on transportation security efforts.
· Review security practices and procedures to ensure that they are in line with regulatory compliance.
· Manage information from various reporting tools to determine and manage risks.
· Collaborate with internal customers to develop security solutions to address evolving operational processes with a focus on identifying solutions that align with business objectives
· Learn Amazon’s Loss Prevention and Operational reporting systems and apply its concepts including; Lean Six Sigma and Kaizens so that system and related process waste is eliminated

Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degrees strongly preferred)
· 3+ years of experience in corporate security management, transportation, or supply chain security
· 5+ years of experience in customer service driven environment
· 5+ years of experience conducting workplace risk investigations

Currently working towards a Master's degree with a graduation date between December 2019 and June 2020

Preferred Qualifications

· Currently working towards a Master’s Degree in progress in security or related field or equivalent professional experience with a graduation date between December 2019 and June 2020
· 3+ years of experience in one or all of the following disciplines; corporate security management, transportation/supply chain security, aviation security
· Ability to take calculated risks and challenge current practices to develop and deliver innovative solutions to meet or exceed the customer expectations
· Experience with all Microsoft Office applications
