Talent Management Intern

The Talent Management Intern performs entry (entry- to routine-level) project work related to Talent Management. Work involves supporting agency operations with a primary focus on gaining practical work experience and business skills for personal development or to satisfy educational requirements. Works under close supervision with limited latitude for initiative and independent judgment. This position reports to the Head of Talent Management.

This position is scheduled to start in June and will end in August, 2019. 

Salary will be dependent upon education level:
Undergraduate (Junior or Senior) - $13.50/hour
Graduate Student - $17.00/hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Management and Data Analysis
  • Researches, compiles, and analyzes data related to talent management and related IMD programs; enters data into spreadsheets, databases, and other automated applications; and prepares complex queries and reports for management review and action.
  • Effectively communicates the results of analysis, both verbal and written.
Learning and Development
  • Assists with coordinating IMD Learning and Development events and activities.
  • Assists the IMD Learning and Development Manager with scheduling of training workshops.
  • Assists with speaker and presenter logistics.
Performance Management Process
  • Supporting the IMD Talent Management team with gathering information critical to the performance management process.
  • Reviews performance management datasets for accuracy and consistency.
  • Performs other duties (general and department specific) as assigned.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Education:
  • Classification will depend on qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in and actively attending an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student and within 12 months of graduation from a bachelor's degree program OR
  • Enrolled in a Master's degree program.
  • Actively pursuing a Human Resources, Business, Information Technology or related degree.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Applicant will be required to submit a copy of official college transcripts.
Experience:
  • Experience analyzing large data sets.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate persuasively and credibly, verbally and written.
Registration, Certification, or Licensure:
  • None.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Letter(s) of recommendation from program professor(s) are strongly encouraged.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
