About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Underground), based in Superior Arizona, focused on the construction of our world class Resolution project.  This role is a great opportunity to apply and further develop your skills as a geotechnical engineer, solving complex problems and contributing to decisions that will have a profound and lasting impact on the design of this world class underground mining project.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring shaft construction and lateral development activities are designed and executed to the defined geotechnical standards to ensure long term safety and integrity of the project.
  • Managing surface and underground geotechnical measurement and monitoring programs including the design, installation and ongoing evaluation and reporting of information.
  • Ensuring effective geotechnical assessment from resource drilling programs as well as the ongoing development of geotechnical models.
  • Contributing to overall mine design activities.
About You
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • University degree in Geotechnical Engineering or similar Geoscience
  • 6+ years of demonstrated geotechnical engineering experience in complex, large scale underground hard rock mining environments
  • Demonstrated capability in geotechnical design processes and tools, monitoring systems and processes, and geotechnical rockmass characterisation from core drilling.
  • Strong technical writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability working collaboratively in a diverse and multidisciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrated complex problem solving abilities, including continual improvement and innovative solutions.
  • The role will be under local terms contract and requires to have the right to work in US
