This position is responsible for the ongoing supervision of the Behavioral Support Staff to ensure the creation of an environment that is consistent, predictable, positive, accountable and transparent. Supervisors will participate in daily program operation by modeling pro-social behavior, assisting with staff and youth skill development, participating in and developing recreational opportunities, as well as; consistently implementing program based strategies and interventions.

Starting wage is $18 per hour. Schedule will be Sunday to Tuesday 1pm-11pm, Wednesday 8am-3pm and on-call as requested..

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Employee must have regular attendance/punctuality, be able to cooperate with others, and be completely honest. Other assigned duties include:
  1. Supervisors will be able to verbalize the importance of participation, consistency, predictability, the value of relationships and will demonstrate these values through their behaviors.
  2. Supervisors will be aware that they are representing the RYS Program and Hilltop at all times and will conduct themselves as professionals to include; exemplary customer services and timely responses to communication.
  3. Must be able to utilize current electronic technology including but not limited to; Microsoft Office products, cell phones, radios, etc. to accomplish job duties.
  4. Completing all appropriate documentation for each employee’s personnel file, and ensuring that personnel files are complete and current.
  5. Providing appropriate employee training, and documenting the completion of training for the personnel file.
  6. Will provide necessary point-in-time staff and youth coaching based upon observed or reported behavior to ensure timely address of behavior, to create consistency, accountability, etc.
  7. Providing face to face supervision at a minimum of two times per month for each Youth Coach; this will entail providing honest and timely feedback, coaching, and direction, as well as; maintaining the necessary and required documentation of each supervision.
  8. Conducting and documenting routine staff meetings.
  9. Maintaining an awareness of medical needs of the youth, including health, dental, vision and hearing. Ensuring that needed transportation is provided for each youth, and transportation is documented.
  10. Monitoring the appropriate provision of basic needs to each program youth, including food, clothing, and daily living supplies. This includes the provision of nutritious meals daily.
  11. Have and be able to verbalize an awareness of the global program budget, monthly program revenue and expenses and how the related variances impact program operations.
  12. Supervisors will present ideas and alternatives that will positively impact the programs operating budget, culture, and staff morale. 
  13. Ensures timely completion of all necessary financial documentation including, but not limited to check requisitions, receipt consolidation, petty cash, youth allowances and purchase orders, will work with the identified business support when necessary to accomplish this requirement.
  14. Ensures the timely and accurate documentation that ensures billable compliance with the USDA Food Program.
  15. Maintaining accurate client records, including client allowance and personal funds.
  16. Ensuring that room searches are conducted according to policy, and findings accurately documented.
  17. Collecting, submitting, documenting and monitoring urinalysis results.
  18. Participating in interviewing and hiring appropriate Behavioral Support Staff and doing so in a timely manner.
  19. Other duties as assigned

Education

Required- Some college or better.
Preferred- Bachelors or better in Human Services or related field.
