Group Counselor
GROUP COUNSELOR
The Group Counselor is a once per week position, day and time noted below, with an hourly-billed rate. This position is responsible for facilitating group processing and education with the residents. Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Ability to conduct group sessions that allow residents have a safe place to fully process and ensure that any issues/grievances raised in these sessions are worked through by the end of the session
- Facilitate psychoeducation on topics including, but not limited to: coping skills, mental illness education, communication skills
- Maintain communication with the Programs Coordinator
- Conduct intake process when a new resident joins
- Group sessions are held every Thursday at 5:00pm
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- LPCi, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW
- A passion for service, especially serving women and babies
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interface with and engage diverse groups of people
