Community Engagement Coordinator

Community Engagement Coordinator

Incumbent is responsible for coordinating and promoting community engagement and events, with a strong focus on volunteer initiatives.

Creates and coordinates innovative events to engage citizens with City Services; initiates volunteer-focused community improvement activities; promotes various programs including recycling, composting, waste diversion, tree planting, flower planting, holiday decorating, and litter reduction; leads events and coordinates all associated logistics.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: 
•      High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
•      Associate’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred.
•      Minimum of two years of experience coordinating formal programs, events and/or activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed below.
•      Public sector experience preferred.

LICENSING and CERTIFICATIONS: 
•      Possession of a valid Wyoming Driver’s license preferred.
