Company Overview

OKB Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to bringing quality and timely healthcare to underserved and rural communities in Africa. Utilizing a mobile health van equipped with medical supplies, equipment, and a vast array of medications, the foundation has successfully provided medical care to over 6,000 individuals across 66 rural communities since its inception. Additionally, OKB Hope Foundation has trained 20 rural community members to serve as health advocates in their respective communities, ensuring sustainable health education and support.

Project Description

Students on this project will build a data warehouse that will be used in a later student project to serve an analytics dashboard.  The students will consolidate health data from 66 rural communities via an ETL process into a centralized data warehouse.  The source data will include both existing health records as well as the OKB Hope Foundation’s mobile health van.  The data warehouse will be utilized by a separate student team to build a dashboard that will provide insights revealing prevalent health conditions and trends in each community, allowing the foundation to make informed decisions on where to focus its resources most effectively.
